# Release Application DNS Record

## DELETE /applications/{uuid}/dns/{hostname}

Release Application DNS Record

Release the managed DNS record of a hostname that the application no longer uses. Coolify deletes the record at Cloudflare only when it created the record, the record did not change, and no other resource uses the hostname. Removing a domain through the API already queues this release; use this endpoint to retry it or to keep the record.

**Authentication:** Bearer token (`bearerAuth`)
