SQLite
SQLite support is experimental. Coolify runs a standalone database resource using a peakimages/sqlite image and persistent data volume. Applications access database files through a volume mount rather than a network connection URL.
Create the database
- In a project environment, select New Resource > Databases > SQLite.
- Select the server and destination.
- Review the image and File names under General.
- Start the database to create its files and volume.
Connect an application
Under the database's General > Connect application section, select an application on the same server, choose the container Mount path, and select Mount volume. Configure the application to open the database file at that path and redeploy it. The application must run as user 65532 or root to access the files.
For a Docker Compose application, Coolify shows the volume lines to add to the service that uses SQLite. Copy them into the application's Compose file and redeploy. Start the SQLite database first because Compose does not create the external volume.
Coolify protects connected volumes. Use Unlink to remove a managed application connection; for Compose connections, remove the volume reference from the Compose file. Review application configuration before unlinking so it does not continue writing to an unintended local file.
Backups and recovery
SQLite supports manual and scheduled database backups. Use Import Backup to restore a backup and choose the database file under Restore into. Stop application writes before replacing a file and verify the application after recovery.
